ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hello I’m Carmen Uribe — a children’s book author and founder of Parm & Pea Publishing. I’m a mamá who loves creating stories full of love, heart, and little lessons tucked inside. Books have always been a safe place for me. As a girl, stories gave me somewhere beautiful to go, and as an adult, books have helped me learn, grow, and even heal. Now I write the kind of books I wish every child could have — warm, playful, and made to bring little one's and grown-ups closer together. I believe kids can learn big things in gentle ways. That’s why my book is full of everyday moments — so children see that love isn’t only something we say, it’s something we do.

Parm & Pea Publishing is the home for my books — stories for connection, love, and curiosity. It’s the space where I get to create, experiment, and, little by little, publish more titles to share with everyone.

I was born and raised in Michoacán, México.

I’m a working mom and PTA volunteer — I love supporting my daughter’s school and community.

I aspire to be an inspirational public speaker. Our stories have power to inspire others.

I love gardening, exercising, and making time for myself so I can pour from a full cup.

I speak English and Spanish and plan to make my books bilingual.

My dream is to fill more homes with love through stories.

Let’s raise the love vibration in this world — one book at a time.

HOW MY WRITING FOUND ITS PURPOSE

When I was younger, I was always journaling — writing down my thoughts, feelings, and ideas. A part of me always knew, “One day I will write books.” Later, I studied at CSUN, graduated, and eventually became a stay-at-home mom. That season with my daughter was huge for me. I was reading a lot of children’s books with her and personal growth books for me and that’s when everything clicked. I realized I could take what I’d learned, the love I was living at home, and turn it into children’s stories that helped other families connect. That’s how Parm & Pea Publishing was born. More books to come.
